Happy World Bicycle Day! On June 2nd, World Bicycle Relief hosted the Buffalo Ride where people around the world hit the pavements by cycling to raise funds for World Bicycle Relief to those in need of two wheels. Our charity partner, World Bicycle Relief created the ride to help people conquer the challenge of distance, achieve independence, and thrive in low income rural communities.

The Buffalo Ride: The Buffalo Ride is a fundraising event organised by World Bicycle Relief to help provide more Buffalo bicycles to women and girls, empowering them to reach their full potential. When you ride, she rides. Quad Lock showed their support this year by participating in the event, cycling around Melbourne with a team of riders to raise funds for this impactful cause.
On Sunday June 2nd, our Quad Lock team, along with the Intrepid Foundation, embarked on a 26 km ride around Melbourne. They completed the route in under 2 hours, capping it off with delicious Lune Croissants and coffee.
“The Buffalo Ride was a tremendous success. We cycled 26 km around Melbourne, navigating scenic bike paths and managing to avoid the rain until the very end, completing the ride in under two hours.” said Jacinta, a participant from the Quad Lock team.
Plus, for every AU$215 raised—the cost of a Buffalo Bicycle— participants were entered into a draw for one of five Quad Lock vouchers valued at $200 or an Intrepid Cycling Tour worth AU$3,500.
Thanks to the incredible efforts of Team Quad Lock, who surpassed their AU$20,000 donation goal, raising a phenomenal $24,139 for World Bicycle Relief. A huge thank you to our dedicated team and our amazing customer community for making this possible!
