The Buffalo Ride is back in 2025, inviting cyclists from all walks of life to take part in a movement that goes beyond just riding. This annual event, launched by The Intrepid Foundation in 2023, is part of World Bicycle Relief’s Pedal to Empower campaign, aimed at improving mobility and opportunities for women and girls in rural communities.
Why Ride?
For many of us, cycling is a form of exercise, a hobby, or even a way to explore the world. But for women and girls in low-income rural areas, a bicycle can mean access to education, healthcare, and economic independence. A Buffalo Bicycle, designed for durability and efficiency, provides a critical tool to help them overcome distance barriers.

How You Can Get Involved?
The official event date is May 4, 2025, but participants are welcome to ride at any time during April and May. Whether you prefer a solo ride, a group challenge, or a virtual ride with friends from around the world, your participation makes a difference.
